I have over 10 years of research experience spanning industries, organizational environments, and accountabilities. I led complex quantitative work, and managed insight communities, in a fast-paced consulting environment at Maru Matchbox. I grew the nascent UX research and operations function at AIR MILES, that evolved from being a team of one, to strategic partners in the organization.
I've since pursued my passion of teaching and currently instruct UX courses at George Brown College. I'm always looking for ways to share my enthusiasm for insights with those looking to learn. I've been a guest lecturer at Concordia University, and hosted an Introduction to UX Research course for Learners.
I now combine my experience in education, and research to support individuals and organizations.
"I've always loved working with people in a one-to-one context, and when I discovered UX Research, it felt like a perfect fit. Not having a formal background in research, the prospect of taking on this new challenge was daunting at times but Tara made it accessible and I credit her with helping to reinvent my career. "
